ACHIEVING CAREER ASPIRATIONS

A 60 minute one-on-one with me via video or phone call.  I will uncover where you are at with your career and where you want your career to go.  

Following on from your Career Consultation session I will provide you with a Personalised Career Action Plan which will outline the steps I am recommending you take to achieve your career aspirations, including your career goals.

At some point in time we all get 'stuck' with our careers.  My coaching sessions are designed so that you will know where you want your career to take you and the steps you need to take to get there.  Each Career Coaching session will be for 60 minutes and can be done by video or phone.

Following on from your Career Coaching sessions I will provide you with a revised Personalised Career Action Plan which will outline the steps I am recommending you to take to achieve your career aspirations, including your career goals.

CVs are a powerful tool as part of your Career Basket. 

I can;

• Review your existing CV and provide recommended changes, including proof reading, editing and formatting.

• Create a CV that is fresh, modern, eye catching, fit for purpose and most importantly is a valuable tool for you to use when applying for job roles.

Cover Letters need to 'sell' you to a prospective employer and make them want to interview you.  

I can;

• Create a Cover Letter template, that you then use for applying for job roles, adding any specific information for that role.

• Review a Cover Letter you have written and proof read recommend changes and format and edit.

• Write a Cover Letter for a specific job role you are applying for

A professional Evidence Portfolio is a collection of examples and evidence of your work, to showcase your experience, capability and potential for employment opportunities. 

Not all industries or job roles require an Evidence Portfolio and sometimes for particular job roles the employer might specifically ask for an Evidence Portfolio of evidence of your work. 

Evidence Portfolio's are often presented in an 'electronic' format that is shared with a prospective employer.

LinkedIn is a professional and business social media platform.  You can use it as a tool to find your next job.  Employers also check out prospective employees on LinkedIn (and other social media platforms) - think of it as an e-CV and another tool in your Career Basket.

• Create a LinkedIn Profile.

When you have made the decision to look for a new job, you need to set aside regular time to search for job roles and apply for the ones that fit your career goals.  This can take a lot of time - it almost becomes a 'full time' job in its own right.  Here's where I can assist you.

I can;

• Develop a Job Search Strategy for you, including where to look for roles that fit your career needs.

• Do the Job Searching for you and send to you a list of roles
  I believe fit your skills and experience and most importantly your career aspirations.

• Apply for the jobs on your behalf.

It is important that you prepare for any job interview.  You need to consider the questions they will ask you, what questions you will ask them and you need to know about the company.

For some interviews they may ask you to do a presentation or complete some form of task.

I can;

• Provide you with a list of questions to ask them.

• Review, including proof reading, formatting and editing your presentation.

• Prepare a presentation for you, including speaking notes.

• Coach you through a 'mock' interview, with possible questions they may ask you.

• Do research on the company and provide you with relevant information.
