As a Freelancing Digital Nomad, I am currently working from various locations in the UK and Europe - it’s a great lifestyle, I get to immerse myself for a period in a village/town/city and live like a local, but still get to experience new places like a tourist, when I’m not working of course! Some days you will find me working from where I am staying, sitting in a park, at the beach, on a train, or in a café!

I get to work where I want, when I want and as much as I want, but as a potential client you may have concerns, including;
· How will the work get done?
· Will she deliver on what she’s agreed to deliver?
· Will she deliver on time and on budget?
· How will she mitigate time zone differences?
· How will she communicate and keep me informed of progress?
These are all legitimate concerns, but I can assure you that when I commit to doing freelancing work for you, you are my client and as such my priority to deliver on the work you have engaged me to deliver.
While some might see the different time zones as a challenge, I see them as an opportunity!
They enable me to work at hours that suit me and you.
While you sleep, I work and you wake up in the morning to communication from me, including drafts, questions, updates, and reports.
I can manage differing time zones around the world for different clients to meet their needs. For example I maybe based in the UK and working with a client in New Zealand with a 11hr time difference and at the same time working with a client in the UK, with the same time zone. I work with the client in the UK during ‘regular’ hours and the client in New Zealand during my evening and their daytime - I get some of my best work completed at night!
Now while it might seem as if I am going to be working all the hours under the sun, with good time management and delivering outputs as agreed, it can actually give me a degree of flexibility to do some work in the morning with the UK client and then take the afternoon off to explore and experience where I am living and then commence work in the evening with my New Zealand client! BOOM - job done!

Getting the work done, delivering what I’ve agreed to deliver and on time and budget for you the client, means making use of technology. Wherever I am working I ensure I have a good WiFi connection, make use of apps and platforms, and agree with you the client, what ways you’d like to work with me;
All via email
Using shared spaces such as Google Drive, One Drive, Drop Box, etc.
Video - Zoom, Teams, WhatsApp, Google Meet, etc.
Messaging services - WhatsApp, Text, Messenger, Teams, etc.
Other - if you have a preferred preference lets discuss what is going to work best for you!
Mixed approach - I’m up for that too!
Whatever your preference, the brilliance of technology and the internet means it doesn’t matter where you or I am we can get the job done.
As the client and as your freelancer, it is important that we are both clear on;
Expectations,
Working hours,
Agreed outputs and timelines, and
Keeping open communication throughout the term of the freelancing agreement are vital and important for both of us.
